Check which sites list you, free

Checks the people-search sites we track. No account, email, or card. You see the results before you create an account.

GreatPeopleSearch is a free people-search site cut from the familiar cloth: search a name, phone number, or address, and get back a profile with home addresses, phone numbers, age, and relatives. No account, no payment, no friction for whoever's looking you up.

Where most brokers use web forms, GreatPeopleSearch handles removals by email: you send your profile URL to their removal address and ask for deletion. That's actually convenient, it leaves you a paper trail by default. Here's the process.

Heads up (October 18, 2026): GreatPeopleSearch's site turned away our automated check, so we could not re-check the steps below. If what you see differs, follow the site.

What is GreatPeopleSearch?

GreatPeopleSearch aggregates public records into free listings that typically include:

  • Full name, age, and possible aliases
  • Current and previous addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Relatives and associates

Its data mirrors what circulates among the other free lookup sites, the same commodity records, one more outlet to clear.

Before you start

  • Find your profile first, the removal email needs your exact profile URL.
  • Decide which email address to send from. It doesn't need to be your primary; it just needs to be one you can receive replies on. Keep the sent mail, it's your proof.

How to remove yourself from GreatPeopleSearch, step by step

Step 1: Find your listing

Search your full name at greatpeoplesearch.com, narrowing by city/state. Open the profile that matches you, verify by age and address history.

Step 2: Copy your profile URL

With your profile open, copy the full URL from the address bar. If you find multiple profiles (name variants, old cities), collect every URL.

Step 3: Locate the removal instructions

On the site, look for the "Remove My Info" link (homepage/footer). It confirms the current removal contact, which has been removal@greatpeoplesearch.com.

Step 4: Send the removal email

Email the removal address with your profile URL(s), your name as the listing shows it, and an unambiguous request. Short and plain works:

"I am requesting removal of my personal information from your website. The profile URL is [your URL], listed under the name [name as shown]. Please confirm when the removal is complete."

If you have several URLs, list them all in one message.

Step 5: Watch for a reply

Some requests get a confirmation reply; others just quietly process. Either way, keep the thread.

How long does removal take?

Typically 24 to 48 hours. Give it a few days before following up on the same thread, a reply-with-history reads as a paper trail and tends to get action.

Verify the removal

After two days, search yourself again in a private browsing window, name, then phone number, then address. If your profile is gone but still appears in Google results, that's a stale cache: it clears on its own within a few weeks, or faster if you run the dead URL through Google's "Refresh Outdated Content" tool.

Why your listing can come back

GreatPeopleSearch, like every people-search site, replenishes from public records and shared broker feeds. Data you remove today can flow back in with the next upstream batch, most predictably after a move or number change.

Re-check every few months. Defynta's free scan includes a link to GreatPeopleSearch so you can check it yourself, but we do not read GreatPeopleSearch automatically yet, so Web Watcher monitoring cannot alert you about this site.

Frequently asked questions

Is the removal free?

Yes. An email costs nothing, and no account is involved.

What if I can't find the "Remove My Info" link?

Check the site footer and the privacy policy page, brokers shuffle these links around. The privacy policy will state the current removal contact if it has changed.

Should I include my personal details in the email?

Only the profile URL and the name as it appears on the listing. The URL identifies the record; there's no reason to volunteer your date of birth or current address to a data broker in prose.

Nobody replied. Did it work?

Often yes, many email removals process silently. Verify on the site itself after a couple of days rather than waiting for a reply. If the listing persists after a week, follow up on the same thread.
