KidsLiveSafe.com is a search site listed in California's data broker registry, and its own FAQ says it updates from public sources. The registry lists it under Scalable Commerce LLC, the company behind QuickPublicRecords too. Its opt-out is free and needs no account.
Checked against KidsLiveSafe's live Privacy Requests page and opt-out FAQ on October 18, 2026. We read the pages; we did not submit the form, so what happens after Continue is as the site's FAQ describes it.
The short version
- Open kidslivesafe.com/help-center/privacy-requests.
- Under Request Type pick Do Not Sell My Info. KidsLiveSafe's FAQ files listing removal under "Do Not Sell My Info/Opt-Out" and says it takes you out of its People Reports. Answer "Are you a customer?" (you don't need to be one).
- Enter first and last name, city, state, ZIP code and an age (18 to 105), pass the "Please confirm you are human" check and click Continue.
- Select your record, give an email address, and click the verification link KidsLiveSafe sends. Nothing is removed until you do. Name variants and old addresses may show up as separate records, and each may need its own request.
- Keep the "processed" email. The FAQ says the record comes off at the next database update, usually 24 hours after it.
This is the same Privacy Requests page that runs on SearchPublicRecords; our SearchPublicRecords guide walks through it screen by screen.
What is particular to KidsLiveSafe
- Phone support: 1-800-301-5905. Call it if an agent is unsure where to send paperwork, or if your record still shows after 24 hours.
- Agents use the same form and provide either a letter signed by the person or a valid power of attorney.
- Daniel's Law: New Jersey judges, prosecutors, law enforcement officers and their households who would rather not use the automated opt-out can contact KidsLiveSafe for help.
- Delete My Info is a separate request type that asks the company to delete what it holds about you. You can send it as well as the opt-out; we did not submit either.
Check it worked
Wait at least 24 hours after the processed email, then search your name on kidslivesafe.com in a private browsing window (the site notes you may need to clear your browser cache first). The FAQ also warns that new data with a different spelling, initials or address may not match your earlier removal, so a fresh record can appear later; run the form again for it, and re-check after a move or a name change.
Defynta's free scan does not include KidsLiveSafe yet, so check it yourself. The scan checks the other people-search sites we track.
The two sites that share this form
- QuickPublicRecords belongs to the same company. Nothing we read says a KidsLiveSafe request covers it, so file there too if it lists you.
- SearchPublicRecords runs the same form under a different company, Civil Data Research, LLC.
California residents can also send one deletion request to every registered broker, Scalable Commerce included, through the state's free DROP platform. Brokers must check it at least once every 45 days and the state says a status update can take up to 90 days, so use the form above as well. More in our California Delete Act guide. (DROP details checked against privacy.ca.gov on October 18, 2026.)
