Spy Dialer (spydialer.com) is a reverse phone lookup site: someone types in a number and gets the person behind it. Its privacy notice says the data it collects can include your name and aliases, current and former addresses, phone numbers, email address, relatives' names, age, and businesses or real estate linked to you, gathered from public records and data suppliers.
Its opt-out is a Remove My Info wizard. It asks for your full street address, and Spy Dialer does not say how long a removal takes.
Steps checked against Spy Dialer's live Remove My Info wizard and privacy notice on October 19, 2026. We read the pages; we did not submit the form, so we can't show the screens that come after you submit, and any timing is only what Spy Dialer states.
Before you start
- Have your full street address ready. The wizard says it needs it to identify your records "even if it is not displayed at the website", and that without it your request will not work.
- List every number, email and address you want matched. The wizard says it needs each result you want removed, so that it matches your records and not someone else's.
How to remove yourself from Spy Dialer, step by step
Step 1: Open Remove My Info
Go to spydialer.com/consumers (the "Remove My Info" link in the site footer) and click START.
Step 2: Pick your state and pass the robot check
The wizard first asks which state you live in, then asks you to confirm you are not a robot "to prevent site abuse".
Step 3: Add the details that identify you
The wizard has separate boxes, each with its own Add button, for your name, a phone number, an email address and a street address (with city and state). Fields shown in yellow are required. Add every number, email and address you want matched before you go on; these are what it uses to find your records, not contact details.
Step 4: Confirm the deletion
The wizard asks, "Are you sure you want to delete all your records?" Confirm to remove everything it matched to you. If you go on without deleting everything, it asks you to confirm that instead, so read each prompt before you click.
We stopped at the robot check, so we can't show the screens in between; the boxes and prompts above are the ones the wizard's page contains.
Is there a confirmation email?
Spy Dialer doesn't describe one. Neither the wizard nor the privacy notice mentions a confirmation email or text, and the privacy notice says "opt-out requests do not require verification." Take a screenshot when you finish and note the date, so you have a record if you need to follow up.
Filing for someone else
Spy Dialer's privacy notice says an authorized agent can file "using the same methods" (the online form or the phone line) and may be asked to provide a signed authorization from the person. It adds that Spy Dialer may ask that person to verify their own identity directly. The separate Privacy Rights form at spydialer.com/privacy-rights has an "authorized agent" option that asks for the agent's name and email.
How long does removal take?
Spy Dialer doesn't say. Its privacy notice says only that it processes requests "in accordance with applicable laws". With no stated deadline, check back regularly and follow up if the listing is still there.
If it doesn't work
- The wizard won't go through (for example the robot check keeps failing): call (866) 834-2579, the number the privacy notice gives for opt-out requests.
- The listing is still up: call the same number. The Right to Delete option on the Privacy Rights form (spydialer.com/privacy-rights) is not a shortcut: for a deletion request the page says it cannot delete data held by third parties and points you back to the opt-out.
- Your request is refused: the privacy notice says you can appeal through the same Privacy Rights page or by calling (866) 834-2579.
Verify the removal
In a private browsing window, run each phone number you included through Spy Dialer's lookup, then search your name, email and street address too, since the site looks those up as well. Re-check any other numbers you've used.
Why your listing can come back
Spy Dialer's Privacy Rights page says search results are not stored by Spy Dialer but fetched from third-party providers when someone searches. Its privacy notice says its data products use publicly available information, which it says state privacy laws don't cover. It says it will try to apply opt-outs to that data "as a courtesy", that this doesn't remove anything from the original source, and that your information may appear again as it takes in new public records. It recommends you refresh your opt-out from time to time, so file again after a move or a new number.
Defynta's free scan does not include Spy Dialer, so check it yourself. The scan checks the other people-search sites we track, where the same phone and address records can turn up.
Who runs Spy Dialer. The site footer names Spy Labs Adco, LLC. California's data broker registry (read October 19, 2026) lists it as Spy Labs AdCo, LLC, with a Tennessee address. If you live in California, the state's free DROP tool sends one deletion request to the brokers on that registry; see our California Delete Act guide.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Spy Dialer opt-out free?
Yes. The wizard asks for no payment and no account.
Why does Spy Dialer want my street address if it doesn't show it?
The wizard says it uses your full street address to identify your records and only yours, not another person's. Without it, the page says, your request will not work.
Is "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" a different request?
It leads to the same place. That page points you to the same opt-out form at spydialer.com/consumers or the same phone number, (866) 834-2579. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser covers cookies, tracking and the sale or sharing of your browsing information, not your listing.
My business number is listed. Is the process the same?
No. The Remove My Info page sends businesses to a separate Business Listing Removal page (spydialer.com/consumers/Business.aspx).
A phone number leads to a name, and a name leads to an address. See which of the sites we track list yours with a free Defynta scan.
