ThatsThem is a free people-search site with an unusually wide front door: you can look someone up by name, phone number, email address, street address, VIN, or even IP address. Every one of those is a thread that unravels to the same place, your identity and your home.

The email- and IP-lookup angles make ThatsThem particularly relevant to online harassment: someone who only knows your email or saw your IP in a game lobby can potentially resolve it to your name and city. The opt-out is free and form-based; here's the process.

Steps checked against ThatsThem's live opt-out page on October 16, 2026. We read the form; we did not submit it, so what happens after Submit is as ThatsThem describes it.

What is ThatsThem?

ThatsThem aggregates public records and commercial data into free reverse-lookup results:

  • Name, age, and address
  • Phone numbers with carrier hints
  • Email addresses
  • Approximate net-worth and home-value bands
  • IP-to-location associations

No account or payment is required to search, so the audience is effectively everyone.

Before you start

  • Open your listing first and note exactly how your name, street address, ZIP and phone number appear. The form asks for all of them, and entries that match the record make it easier for ThatsThem to find the right one.
  • Every field is required, including a phone number. Use the one already on your listing rather than handing over a new number.
  • Have an email address ready. ThatsThem emails you when the removal is complete. A masked or secondary address keeps your primary inbox out of it.
  • Check all the lookup paths: search your name, then your phone number, then your email. You may find more than one record, and each needs its own form.

How to remove yourself from ThatsThem, step by step

Step 1: Find your listing(s)

Search yourself at thatsthem.com, by name and city first, then repeat with your phone number and email address. Note every record that's yours.

Step 2: Open the opt-out form

Go to thatsthem.com/optout (the site header also has an Opt Out link). The page states that opting out removes your data from ThatsThem's public search results, not from other services or public records.

Step 3: Fill in the form, matching the record

The form has seven required fields: full name, street address, city, state, ZIP code, email, and phone. Enter the name, address and phone as they appear in the listing you're removing, so the request points at that record.

Step 4: Pass the bot check and submit

The form has a Cloudflare bot check; tick the box if it shows one, then click Submit Opt-Out Request.

Step 5: Watch for the completion email

The page doesn't mention a verification link. It says you'll receive a confirmation email once the request is complete.

Step 6: Repeat per record

Each form names one person at one address. If you found records under another address or phone number in Step 1, submit the form again for each.

How long does removal take?

ThatsThem says requests are typically processed within 72 hours, and that you'll receive a confirmation email once complete.

Verify the removal

After three days, re-run every lookup type in a private browsing window: name, phone, email, and street address. ThatsThem's multiple entry points mean a record can linger under one lookup after vanishing from another. Anything that survives gets a fresh, exactly-matched form.

Why your listing can come back

ThatsThem refreshes from public records and data-broker feeds. New records (after a move, a new phone number, a data-broker refresh) can recreate your listing under details your original opt-out didn't cover.

Quarterly re-checks handle it manually. Defynta's Web Watcher can handle it for you. Silver subscribers can turn on monitoring, which rescans ThatsThem and the other sites we read every 30 days by default and emails you when a listing comes back.

Frequently asked questions

Does my Spokeo opt-out cover ThatsThem?

No. Spokeo's privacy policy (revised June 25, 2026) treats ThatsThem.com as one of its websites but excludes it from Spokeo's Remove A Public Listing tool, and sends ThatsThem removals to thatsthem.com/optout. File both. (The same policy says the ThatsThem tool removes listings in real time once a request is complete; the ThatsThem page itself says typically within 72 hours.)

Is ThatsThem removal free?

Yes. The form is free and no account is required.

Can someone really find me from just my IP address?

IP geolocation is city-level at best and often wrong, but combined with a name guess or an email, it narrows things fast. Removing your ThatsThem records breaks the link between those identifiers and your identity.

My listing is still up after the completion email. Why?

Check for a second record under a different address or phone number, or details that didn't match the listing. Reopen the listing, copy the name, address and phone exactly as shown, and submit the form again for that record.

Does removal cover the "net worth" and home-value data too?

Removal suppresses your record as a whole, including those fields. (For what it's worth, those numbers are broad estimates derived from property data, one more reason not to want them public.)
