AddressSearch.com does one thing, and it's the thing that matters most: it connects names to home addresses. For most privacy threat models (harassment, stalking, unwanted visitors) the address is the crown jewel, and sites whose whole product is address lookup deserve priority in your removal queue.

The removal is one short form at addresssearch.com/remove-info.php, also reached through the "Edit Your Info" link in the site's footer. It's free, there's no CAPTCHA, and the site says removals may take a short time to take effect.

What is AddressSearch.com?

AddressSearch.com publishes address-lookup records that typically include:

  • Full name
  • Current home address
  • Associated location details
  • In some listings, email or phone contact points

It's a focused product compared to the full-dossier brokers, but focus on the address makes it no less serious.

Before you start

  • Note your name and address exactly as the listing shows them, matches process; mismatches stall.
  • Use an email address you're comfortable providing (masked/secondary is fine).

How to remove yourself from AddressSearch, step by step

Step 1: Find your listing

Search your name at addresssearch.com and confirm what the site shows for you, name spelling, address, any extras.

Step 2: Open the removal form

Go to addresssearch.com/remove-info.php, or click "Edit Your Info" at the bottom of any page and follow it to the removal form.

Step 3: Complete the removal form

The site asks you to complete the form in its entirety: your name, email, street address, city, state, and ZIP, matching the listing. Then click "Remove Yourself."

By submitting, you confirm that the information you want removed is yours or a dependent's. That means you have to file this one yourself (or a parent or guardian for a dependent); an outside service acting for you can't truthfully make that statement.

If an email arrives asking you to confirm the request, click the link in it.

Step 4: Repeat for old addresses

If previous addresses of yours also carry listings under your name, submit for each, historical address chains are how someone reconstructs your movements.

How long does removal take?

The form says only that removals may take a short time to take effect. Check again after a week.

Verify the removal

After a week, search your name in a private browsing window, then try any address-based lookups the site offers against your current and prior addresses. Survivors get a resubmission with exact-match details.

Why your listing can come back

Address data is the most actively refreshed record type in the broker pipeline, deeds, moves, utilities, voter rolls. A new address event can rebuild your listing here months after a clean removal, and address-only sites rarely cross anyone's mind for re-checks.

Re-check every few months. Defynta's free scan includes a link to AddressSearch so you can check it yourself, but we do not read AddressSearch automatically yet, so Web Watcher monitoring cannot alert you about this site.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AddressSearch removal free?

Yes, the Edit Your Info flow is free and requires no account.

Why does the form want my address to remove my address?

Record matching: the address identifies which listing to suppress. You're pointing at data already published, not disclosing anything new.

My new address isn't listed yet. Should I pre-emptively opt out?

You can't remove a listing that doesn't exist, but you can watch for it. New addresses typically surface in broker data within a few months of a move, so search the site again once that window has passed. A free scan includes a link to the site.
