PeopleWin looks like yet another independent people-search site, name search, address history, phone numbers, relatives. But under the hood, PeopleWin is powered by Spokeo: its listings come from Spokeo's database, and its opt-outs are processed through Spokeo's removal system.

Checked on October 18, 2026: peoplewin.com/optout, /privacy and /terms each redirect to Spokeo, and California's data broker registry lists PeopleWin among Spokeo, Inc.'s websites.

That's genuinely useful to know, because it means you don't fight two battles. Remove your Spokeo listing and your PeopleWin exposure goes with it, and if you've already opted out of Spokeo, you're most likely clear here too (verify below).

What is PeopleWin?

PeopleWin surfaces people-search results drawn from Spokeo's data pool:

  • Full name and age
  • Current and past addresses
  • Phone numbers and email addresses
  • Relatives and associates

Multiple storefronts, one database, a pattern you'll see across this industry, and one that occasionally works in your favor.

Before you start

  • Have an email address you can check right away; Spokeo's flow requires a confirmation click.
  • Plan to collect a profile URL per listing. Spokeo removals are keyed to individual listing URLs.

How to remove yourself from PeopleWin, step by step

Step 1: Find your profile on Spokeo

Go to spokeo.com (yes, Spokeo, that's where PeopleWin's records live) and search your full name, narrowing by city or state. Open the profile that matches you and verify it by age, address history, and relatives.

Step 2: Copy the profile URL

Copy the full URL of your Spokeo profile from the address bar. Multiple profiles → collect every URL.

Step 3: Open the Spokeo opt-out page

Scroll to the Spokeo footer and click "Do Not Sell My Info," or go directly to spokeo.com/optout.

Step 4: Submit the removal

Paste your profile URL, enter your email address, complete the CAPTCHA, and click Opt Out.

Step 5: Confirm by email

Click the verification link in the email from Spokeo promptly, the request only processes after confirmation.

Step 6: Repeat per profile

One URL per request. Work through your list.

How long does removal take?

Spokeo's opt-out page says requests are processed in 24 to 48 hours; allow an extra day or two for the change to reflect everywhere the data is served, PeopleWin included.

Verify the removal

After three days, search your name on both peoplewin.com and spokeo.com in a private browsing window. Both should be clear. If PeopleWin still shows a listing after Spokeo is clean, give it another 48 hours, then re-run the Spokeo opt-out for the surviving record.

Why your listing can come back

Spokeo's database (and thus PeopleWin's) continuously ingests fresh public records and marketing data. A new address or number becomes a new profile that your old opt-out doesn't cover, and it will surface on every site the pool feeds.

Re-check quarterly, or hand it to Defynta's Web Watcher. Silver subscribers can turn on monitoring, which rescans PeopleWin, Spokeo and the other sites we read every 30 days by default and emails you when a listing comes back.

Frequently asked questions

I don't see myself on PeopleWin but I'm on Spokeo. Should I still opt out?

Yes, remove the Spokeo profile. The listing can materialize on any Spokeo-fed storefront at any time; killing the source record prevents that.

Is the removal free?

Yes. Spokeo's opt-out is free and account-free; PeopleWin never needs to be contacted separately.

Why do brokers run multiple storefronts on one database?

More domains, more search-engine surface area, more chances a paying searcher lands somewhere they monetize. For you it just means: find the database behind the brand, and opt out there.

How do I know which sites share databases?

Mostly you don't, without digging, that's part of why we built Web Watcher. Our guides note every known relationship (PeopleConnect's network, the Whitepages-powered sites, Spokeo/PeopleWin) so one removal covers as much ground as possible.
